  3. A main causes of the civil war was the social and economical struggles between the north south. In addition, should slavery be outlawed or should we keep people in blondish against there will. Also Abraham Lincoln was another cause of the civil war. Many people did not like him because they felt like he was choosing sides. In addition, some southern states believe that he was a antislavery president causing numerous southern states to drop out of the union.
